Sports Camp on Sunday morning a good idea????
I'm looking for the positives and negatives of having a VBS/Sports Camp offered on 5 Sunday mornings in the summer instead of doing it in the evening or weekdays. Our church is currently renting space at a jr high school on Sunday mornings and it is simply out of our budget to pay for renting a school for sports camp. I've looked around at neighborhoods & parks and nothing fits what I need. So....I had the idea of having it on Sunday mornings. We can advertise through the schools for the cost of the copies so I think I can really get the word out, but I'm curious if you think non-churched will come on a Sunday morning to a jr high for a Sports Camp? What are the positives and negatives you see??? I've done traditional VBS's for many years, but this is the first year for a sports camp and to potentially offer it on a Sunday morning. Thanks for the input!
