I am feeling led to pursue ministry inside the local public school. Has anyone else tried to start a Bible Club in a school (3 to 4 p.m.)? I currently use KIDMO Video Curriculum with my church kids and think it would be a GREAT way to get unchurched and churched kids talking about God with each other. My projector and screen set up is mobile so it would be an easy fit for me. I could just repeat my Sunday Lesson each week.

If anyone you know has had experience working with a local public school I would love to hear about it. If I can find an Elementary school in North Dallas (preferably LISD) that would lend Crosspointe a classroom once a week, I'm ready to start tomorrow! I could also use your prayer support as our church in general seeks to decentralize. My thinking is that we should find ways to connect with families who don't go to church.

Thanks! I had never heard of it. The website is great! I still prefer using what we already have going on at Crosspointe since it has all the same elements but no prep time. Maybe the BC leadership can give me some pointers about meeting with school administration to get it going. It looks like they are the experts in that field.

Thanks for the encouragement. It may be an uphill climb. I don't think anyone has broken into the Lewisville ISD with Clubs in the Elementary schools. I'm praying for the right contacts.

I know Child Evangelism Fellowship has thousands of "Good News clubs" in schools around the country. They might be a good resource in getting started, even if you did your own thing.

Contact the people at Kids Beach Clubs. They are starting clubs in schools all over North Texas and they should be able to get you in touch with a school.
