12 people I follow on Twitter and why

Twitter is one of the greatest ways to network in children’s ministry and to learn from each other. I’ll never forget the night Jim Wideman called me and said that he was on Twitter and that I needed to get my tail in gear and sign up. It took me about 16 minutes to do [...]

Kathy there's a book that I would recommend called Energizing Children's Ministry in the Smaller Church by my friend Rick Chromey. You can get it on Amazon, or through my website store here: www.kidmin360.com/store. I would be interested to know what different info you need also, having served at churches from 250 to 7000. I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

Kathy,

What stuff do you feel smaller churches need vs. what larger churches need?

How about a Family Event. Standard Publishing has 3 new family events on their website. One is called Huddle Up and it is of course a football theme. There are activities for the whole family including
* Food
* Tabletop discussion starters
* Worship
* Large-group activities
* Small-group discussion questions
* Fun giveaways

The other 2 titles are The Outback and Top Secret.

I just focused in on K magazine at the Orange Conf. this month. I am sorry I did not slow down enough to read it before. It is VERY good. I just got a subscription. Thank you and I thank God for what He is doing in kids ministry kingdom wide right now, it is very exciting!!

Thanks Jane, the children's options will be identical. So we are trying to create two teams. It will give those serving one hour the opportunity to be in the adult service the other hour. We actually have enough people serving now to fill all the needs if I can get them to commit to each one serving one hour every week instead of two or three hours once a month. I've been working on this for a couple of years and they are finally starting to get it.

We will be doing this soon ourselves, so I would be interested in people's responses too!!
