Just finished listening to a podcast by Alan Hirsch. That cat made rethink everything I am doing in ministry. Love it!

I love this discussion - I love the idea of challenging the 'norms'. As a child growing up in the church - going through Children's Ministry for my childhood I learnt/memorised in church alot of scripture. I am thankful for this - now as an adult I…

This is really a great question, Markus. I'm sure we all agree that since the children only spend a few hours at church each week, it's important to use that time as effectively as possible. In some of the training I've done for the children's work…

Hey Makus, Absolutely! We can have a memory verse each week as a part of our regular schedule but if we haven't sent the children home with the 'reason why this Bible truth I just learned is important to me" then we have failed in our responsibility…

I think that, despite all the techno stuff (which I own), I always have a memory verse and always try to have the children open a Bible in their hands. We also memorize the order of the books, divisions of OT and NT, and other general facts about wh…

Yes, we have a very limited amount of time with our kids each week. This means we must be very intentional about what we teach. We must also be committed to encouraging and empowering parents to be the primary spiritual leaders, providing them with…

Markus,

I just wanted to stop by and encourage you to keep up the awesome work ministering to children!

You are needed!

My name is Jerry Moyer. I am a children's evangelist that travels across the United States & Canada ministering to children and families.

Our ministry is called The Jubilee Gang.

The Jubilee Gang is a fast paced multi-media ministry to children and families.

Our goals are to see as many men, women, boys, & girls born again as possible, to stir up believers to be all they can be for God, and teach them to reach out to the world around them with the Good News of the Gospel.

Our presentation is very entertaining, but we are 100% about ministry.

If we can ever be of any service to you or you need anything please feel free to contact me.

God Bless You!
Jerry

Hey Markus!
thanks for the reply! It's always good to hear from you! Ya, I had a set back after I saw you - it was neurological in nature stemming from the head trauma. My brain got shook around pretty good! (Ya, I guess a sudden stop from 130mph to zero would cause your head to rattle just a little! haha!) that part of healing has been very frustrating because I was doing so well with the bones and internal stuff. It's wired, because with most physical healing, you can monitor it and put benchmarks on it - with brain trauma it's a whole new ball game. It acts up when it wants to and you have absolutely no control over it. You can catch up on the latest episodes by reading my blog on my page. It's bizarre! You can also see the pictures of my accident and see what a miracle I am just to be here talking to you!

But we are making progress. More importantly, God is teaching me a lot of life lessons on perspective that I am sharing in my newsletters and in my group "Be Encouraged Today". (Join that group if you haven't! Hopefully it will bless you, bro!) It's helping a lot of people that I call my new audience. (Since I can't perform live yet, I have a reading audience!)

But I hope to be back in full swing by Jan 2009. And I have already heard that camp GAP is saving me two weeks with Keith! So I'm pretty stoked about that.

Thanks for offering help, Markus! That's what always impressed me about you from the first time we met - you have an encouraging spirit and a servant's heart! Never lose that, bro - it's what separates you from the pack! I'm actually doing fine as far as needs go - God has been over abundantly good! Love offerings from kids, donations, etc have kept the bills paid while I've been down for the count. God has been so faithful, I can't even begin to tell you. Just pray for me dude - pray that God will heal me and get me back out there if that's His plan. And if not, to set me on His path and give me the grace to accept His best for me!

Take care and God Bless, bro! Let me know if there is anything I can do for you!
your friend,
Uncle Charlie

Hey Markus.
I don't know whose eyes they are. I didn't have time yesterday to add a pic. Thanks for hooking me up on the website. I am going to pass the info to Flo and Katy as well.

We have our youth retreat next week in Laguna Beach Florida. This will be a crazy week getting ready. I will talk again later. Hope all is going well with your ministry.

In His Service,
Brenda
